International Organization of Employers (IOE) Guidance for Employers on Covid-19

The International Organization of Employers (IOE) has launched guidance documents for employers detailing various developments in the Covid-19 crisis that are particularly relevant for the business community.

NEW! January 2022 Guidance: “Covid-19: What employers need to know about vaccination and prevention”

The January 2022 report takes as starting point the presentations and discussions that took place during the IOE conference on Covid-19 in October 2021 which included Guy Ryder, Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization’s (WHO), together with the President of the American employer organisation, Eversheds and others. Additional material and annexes have been added to the report aimed at providing key guidance and practical tools on prevention and vaccination to Employers, Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) and companies.

April 2021: “Report on IOE Conference on Covid19: What Employers Need to Prepare for Next”

From vaccines, preventive measures to cross-border mobility, the publication is based on the high-level dialogue organised by IOE with the participation of the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and ILO Director-General Guy Ryder together with leadership from the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations, International Trade Union Confederation, The Adecco Group, and the United States Council for International Business.

The guide aims to provide the most up-to-date information on the role of employers in relation to promoting health measures together with the latest thinking on areas of concern to employers including restart of cross-border mobility.
